Bean and Goose

Sisters Karen and Natalie Keane established Bean & Goose with their passion for traditional chocolate making.  Sustainability sits at the core of the brand where single origin chocolate, seasonal and natural ingredients and eco-friendly packaging sets Bean & Goose apart.  With a range of products from ‘sharing slabs’ to hot chocolate, this Wexford business has recently expanded into the UK market.

When Karen and Natalie approached Propelor, they were dipping their toes in export markets and focusing on France and central Europe with a clear export strategy. Funding this strategy required preparation – and the team at South East BIC focused on their investment preparation – building out the financial model, business model, etc. Once a private investor was secured, Propelor assisted Bean & Goose secure investment from Enterprise Ireland’s High Potential Startup fund.

Bean & Goose have grown rapidly since, increasing their production capacity to match export demand and driving both their retail/wholesale and direct to consumer business.
