The National Opera House in Wexford was alive with energy on November 19th as The Big Pitch 2024 brought together Ireland’s brightest startup founders, mentors, investors, and industry leaders for an unforgettable celebration of innovation and entrepreneurship.
This year’s event featured 7 outstanding pitches from early-stage startups, with three finalists—ActivePix, ArrayPatch Ltd, and Genotrial—competingfor the €7,500 prize. Each founder delivered a compelling five-minute pitch, presenting their problem-solution fit, route to market, team, and financial roadmap. While the judges deliberated, the audience was treated to an engaging fireside chat with mentors Edward Hendrick and Liam Dunne, who shared their entrepreneurial journeys and offered invaluable advice to aspiring founders in the room.
Adding a new dimension to this year’s event was The Big Pitch’s Little Pitch, where four additional startups—AltoHealth, Agri Data Analytics, ScenarioWorx, and SeeGap—delivered lightning pitches to the audience. The quality of these pitches was exceptional, and the audience selected Agri Data Analytics as their One to Watch.
After much anticipation, the judges—Keith Brock, Eshna Gogia, and Breege Cosgrave—announced Genotrial as the winner of The Big Pitch 2024. Their innovative platform for oncology clinical trial enrollment impressed the panel and secured the top prize.
The Big Pitch continues to position itself as a key event in Ireland’s startup ecosystem, creating a platform for founders to shine and for the community to connect.
