Tailr, a cloud-based software company, have secured €700,000 investment from Delta Partners, Haatch and Enterprise Ireland.
Founder Shana Chu's background in garment technology gave her the insight into the sustainability challenges facing the industry. Overly complicated production supply chains, disconnected teams and miscommunication can cause long sampling cycles, a mismatch between final production and approved samples, and high levels of returns due to inconsistent sizing, all contribute to the sustainability gap in fashion. Tailr's software provides resources so that a fashion company may develop "tech packs," which are essentially the designs for their clothing. The tech then sets to work optimising these blueprints, making sure the dimensions are accurate for the particular material being used.
Talking about the latest funding, Ms Chu said “This achievement is a testament to our team’s perseverance and the incredible potential of Tailr. It will enable us to further develop the platform and drive positive change within the industry while scaling our operations and expand our market reach.” (ref: The Irish Times)
