Propelor Showcases Entrepreneurial Support at Green Innovation Event

On Wednesday, October 9th, Propelor participated in the Green Innovation event held at The Cube in Portlaoise, a nationally recognized center of excellence for driving economic growth, innovation, and education in the Low Carbon and Renewables sector. This Midlands-based hub is at the forefront of supporting sustainability-focused enterprises, and the event offered a platform to explore the wide-ranging support available to startups, scale-ups, and established businesses with a focus on the low-carbon economy.

Propelor's, Business Consultant Justin Kearns delivered a comprehensive presentation on how Propelor supports ambitious, high-potential entrepreneurs at every stage of their startup journey. Justin outlined the various tailored supports that Propelor offers, from the Pre-Seed Start Fund (PSSF) to preparing startups for Seed investment rounds, ultimately guiding them towards becoming High Potential Start-Ups (HPSUs) with backing from Enterprise Ireland.

Justin also highlighted Enterprise Ireland’s strategic ambition to position Irish enterprises as global leaders in sustainability. He underscored the vital role Business Innovation Centres (BICs) like Propelor play in fostering climate-focused innovation, sharing examples from Propelor’s own clients—Agri Data Analytics, Acregreen, and Arivu—all of whom are developing cutting-edge solutions for the low-carbon economy.

The event featured notable contributions from other experts in the field. David Scanlon of Resolve Partners discussed how his organization is engaging with innovative climate-solution companies through the Accelerate Green programme. The autumn cohort of the Accelerate Green Start programme is already in progress, and we’re delighted that our client Agri Data Analytics is among the participants. Mark Clancy of Laois Local Enterprise Office (LEO) offered insights into the specific supports available through Laois LEO, particularly in the realm of green business initiatives. Additionally, Brian Kelly of Laois Partnership Company shared examples of low-carbon community projects that have been successfully supported through Leader funding.

This engaging and well attended event further demonstrated Propelor’s commitment to helping entrepreneurs drive impactful, sustainable change. We look forward to continuing to support innovative businesses that are shaping the future of the low-carbon economy.
